Two lightweight tools keep everyone on the same page day-to-day: the shared Calendar for dates and events, and Messages for quick internal chat.

Calendar

Every role sees Calendar in the sidebar. Admins and Head Teachers can add events (exam dates, PTA meetings, holidays, INSET days) that appear for the whole school. Everyone else sees a read-only view — click any date to see what's scheduled.

Messages

The Messages item opens a simple direct-chat tool between staff accounts — useful for quick questions without leaving the system. Unread messages show a badge count next to the sidebar link. This is internal staff-to-staff chat only; it is separate from Parent Comms/SMS, which reach parents and guardians.

Quick Steps

  1. Calendar shows school-wide events — term dates, exams, holidays, meetings.
  2. Admins/Head Teachers can add new events for everyone to see.
  3. Messages (chat bubble in the sidebar) lets you message any colleague directly.
