The Canteen module lets your Canteen Manager track feeding fees independently from regular school fees — useful for schools that charge canteen on a daily or monthly basis, separately from term billing.

Setting Up Canteen Rates

1. Go to Canteen → Canteen Rates.
2. Add a rate entry: select the student type (e.g. Boarder, Day Student) and enter the daily or monthly rate.
3. Different student types can have different rates — boarders may pay more than day students.

Canteen Collectors

Set up the staff who collect canteen fees under Canteen → Collectors. Each collector is assigned to specific classes — they can only record sales for their assigned group, which prevents unauthorised entries.

Recording Daily Sales

1. Go to Canteen → Record Sales.
2. Select the date, class, and collector.
3. Enter the number of students who ate (or the total amount collected).
4. Save. The running total updates immediately.

Canteen Analysis

Under Canteen → Analysis, view daily, weekly, or monthly revenue breakdowns by class or collector. The chart view makes it easy to spot low-collection days that might need investigation.

Canteen Attendance Sync

If your school wants canteen to follow regular class attendance (only present students are counted), use Canteen → Sync Attendance — this pre-fills the canteen count from that day's attendance register.
