Infirmary / Health RecordsNurse / Admin
Recording sick visits, managing medications, tracking student health conditions, and generating infirmary reports.
The Infirmary module gives your school nurse a digital sick bay register — with student health profiles, visit logs, medication tracking, and reports — replacing handwritten cards and notebooks.
1. Logging a Visit
- Go to Operations → Infirmary → New Visit.
- Search for the student by name or ID.
- Fill in: Date/time, Complaint, Examination findings, Diagnosis, and Treatment given.
- Record any medications dispensed from stock.
- Set the visit status: Treated and Released, Referred to Hospital, or Still in Sick Bay.
2. Student Health Profiles
Each student has a Health Profile accessible from their infirmary record. Record: blood group, allergies, chronic conditions, and the emergency contact specifically for health situations. This data appears at the top of every visit for quick reference.
3. Medication Stock
Under Infirmary → Medications, maintain a stock of commonly dispensed items (paracetamol, plasters, ORS, etc.). Each time medication is dispensed during a visit, the stock decrements. A low-stock alert appears when items need reordering.
4. Infirmary Reports
- Visit Summary — total visits by date range, class, or diagnosis category
- Referral Report — students sent to hospital with date and reason
- Medication Usage — what was dispensed over a period
5. Privacy
Health records are visible only to users with the Infirmary or Admin permission — not to regular teachers. Parents can see their child's visit history from the Parent Portal if the school enables it.
